The oldest person in the country, Ciss Geaney, celebrated her 107th birthday on Wednesday (above) in Fermoy District Hospital. Ms Geaney met the Pope when she visited Rome two years ago. She also makes an annual pilgrimage to Lourdes and last summer had a two-week holiday with distant relatives in Co. Kildare.
